    HI Anna
Looks like you have been a busy woman-thanks for the effort. Should the song books be able to open or is it me being an old duffer?

I have just settle in the area after a long career in the service, and am passionate about learning how to play the Uke and the Banjo but have struggled trying to do it on my own, as reading music is not my strong point.

would you be open to a complete beginner, turning up to get some help please

    Liam

      Hi Liam,
Download “Uncle Rod’s Bootcamp” from the link above and have a go at that. You don’t need to read music – it’s all tabbed out instead. If you can manage the basics there then you’ll be absolutely fine at our club. Feel free to come along and join us, everyone is very friendly and will be more than happy to help you 🙂
We’ll look forward to meeting you 😀

      Hi Tony,
No age limit at all, your daughter would be welcome to come along and see if she likes it. The next meet is in Sittingbourne on 25 November, where I suspect we might be practising some Christmas songs 😉
      Best wishes, Anna

    Hi MUC
My wife will be getting a Uke from Father Christmas, although she has no idea.
We would love to come along at your next meet at Detling on the 13th January if that is ok.
She can read music to some extent and I wonder if you could send me a copy of your song/music sheet so she could have at least a couple of weeks practice before the meet.
    Kindest regards
    Dave

    Hi,
My wife and I used to go to the now defunct meeting at the Plough Langley a couple of years ago and came along as guests to one of your Detling meets, I never got the hang of it but would like to try again now that my work pattern has changed and your nights are free – do we just turn up?
    Dave
